A downloadable experiment for Windows

This is an experimental Signed Distance Function renderer that uses ray tracing on the CPU to populate a buffer of short-lived splats called "surfels".

There's supposed to be a dynamic tuning function, but I have not built it yet, so it may run poorly on your computer.

There's not much to do in this demo, just use the arrow keys to move around.

Please be advised that the image moves quite quickly.  Strobing will likely occur either from moving or from rendering artifacts and bugs.

Install instructions

Unzip vroom.zip and run the executable to start the "game".
